Please note that due to the street numbering used around the Charlestown Navy Yard, Mapquest, Google Maps and other online map services and GPS will lead you astray.

Parking Directions

On the Street
There is limited metered parking along First Avenue and on other streets in the Navy Yard. Metered parking is 25¢ for each 12 minutes with a two-hour maximum (per block), and is enforced by the City of Boston between 8:00 a.m and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. If you drive in for the day, be prepared to move your car every two hours. You can download and utilize the ParkBoston app to manage your parking.

Parking is available at the Flagship Wharf Garage with the entrance on 8th Street. Parking is not discounted by the IHP and is available at the current running rate. Please note this garage is valet only and is available on a first come first serve basis.

  • Building 199 Parking Garage

199 5th Ave, Boston, MA 02129

Building 199 is a block away from the research building, and four blocks from Buildings 34,36, and 39.

Visitors can park and pay a daily rate:

  • 0-1 hour → $11
  • 1-2 hours → $17
  • 2-4 hours →  $22

Our team is made up of passionate experts in health innovation, dedicated to transforming the future of healthcare.

Conference Chair, Massachusetts General Hospital

Shuhan He, MD

Shuhan He, MD is a dual faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Lab of Computer Science at Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is the Program Director for the MGHIHP’s HealthCare Data Analytics program as well as research staff Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery, Surgical Critical Care at MGH. He was named one of Emergency Medicine’s 25 under 45, Modern HealthCare Top 25 Emerging Leaders.

Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine Physician / Co-founder Health Tech Without Borders

Jarone Lee, MD, MPH

Dr. Jarone Lee, MD, MPH is a dual-trained, practicing emergency medicine and critical care physician, and is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lee is the Vice Chief of Critical Care for the Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Lee co-founded Health Tech Without Borders, Inc. (HTWB), a global non-profit organization that aims to mitigate humanitarian disasters by leveraging digital tools and technology to provide immediate access to health resources. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer to the Massachussetts-1, Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), a federal team that deploys to support disaster relief. He is regularly invited to speak nationally and internationally.

Previous speaking engagements included the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, South by Southwest, a keynote presentation at the All Levels Trauma Care conference in Saudi Arabia, and a White House round table on equity and civic health. He has been quoted on CNN, NBC, US News and World Report, AP News, Bloomberg News, CommonWealth Magazine and many other news networks. Dr. Lee was named one of Boston’s most influential AAPI leaders in 2023 by Get Konnected and the Boston Foundation.

Research Fellow, Massachusetts General Hospital

Ahmad Hassan, MD

Dr. Ahmad Hassan, MD is a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he is driving advancements in artificial intelligence and healthcare innovation. His work focuses on developing cutting-edge computer vision models to create AI-based tools that enhance patient care and clinical decision-making.

With extensive experience as a physician in diverse clinical settings across urban and rural regions of Pakistan, Dr. Hassan possesses a deep understanding of the challenges of delivering quality healthcare in resource-limited environments.

With leadership experience as the President of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) – KEMU Chapter, Dr. Hassan brings exceptional skills in collaboration, innovation, and advocacy for global health. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge and patient care is evident through his hands-on clinical experience and dynamic research contributions, making him a valuable asset to our team.
